Log changes to my Vault file

Regex Password Vault supports logging, which keeps a record of all revisions made to your Vault file.

 

Notes

Logging is turned off by default. If you want changes to be logged you must first enable this feature.

Log entries are stored in your Vault file.

 

The following actions are logged, along with the time of the action and the user who performed the action:

 

Password or identity created, edited, or deleted

Password or identity synced with another file

Vault file saved

Password Vault options modified

 

To enable or disable logging

 

1.Click Tools > Options.
 

2.Click the Advanced tab.
 

3.Under Vault file options, check or clear the Log all revisions to this file checkbox.

 

To view the log

 

1.Click Tools > Options.
 

2.Click the Advanced tab.
 

3.Under Vault file options, click View log.

How do I clear the log?

 

First disable logging (see steps above). Then save and re-open your Vault file.

 

Can I use an external file as the log?

 

No. However, you can export all log entries to an external file at any time. First view the log using the steps above. Then click Export log.
