Symptoms

While installing Password Vault, you see the following error message:

The Windows Installer service cannot update the system file C:/WINDOWS/Fonts/tahoma.ttf because the file is protected by Windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to work correctly.

Solution

This error message looks more threatening than it really is. If you click OK the installation will complete successfully.
