Using Wait AutoComplete
AutoComplete is a feature of Password Vault that fills in your password
information on web sites and in applications, so you don't have to type it in
manually. Wait AutoComplete works by sending keystrokes to the target window,
just as if you had typed them yourself.
Wait AutoComplete gets its name from the fact that Password Vault will wait a
specified number of seconds after you invoke the AutoComplete operation to start
sending keystrokes to the target window. This time is for you to switch focus to
the target window and put the cursor in the appropriate box.
Configuring Wait AutoComplete for a Password
- From the main Password Vault window, select the password for which you want to configure AutoComplete.

- Click the Password Properties toolbar button, or press F4.

- The "Password Properties" dialog box appears. Under AutoComplete, click the
Wait radio button.

- Click the Settings... button directly to the right of the Wait radio button.

- The "Wait AutoComplete Settings" dialog box appears. Under Wait Interval, choose
the number of seconds that you want Password Vault to wait before sending
keystrokes to the target window. Choose a longer interval if you need more time
to switch focus to the target window. The default is 2 seconds.

- Under the AutoComplete Builder section of the "Wait AutoComplete Settings"
dialog box is where you will define the AutoComplete script order for this
password. The script order is simply the order of password fields and keystrokes
that will be sent to the target window. To figure out the appropriate script
order, look at the target window.

For this web site, if you start with the cursor in the Username box, you will
need a Username field, a TAB keystroke to move the cursor to the next field, a
Password field, and an ENTER keystroke to "press" the Sign in button. Therefore,
on the "Wait AutoComplete Settings" dialog box, press the following buttons in
order:
- Username button
- <TAB> button
- Password button
- <ENTER> button
Tip: Since this is the default AutoComplete script, you can also press the Default button
to quickly specify this order.

- Click the OK button, then click the OK button on the "Password Properties" dialog box underneath.

AutoCompleting a Password
- From the main Password Vault window:
- Select the password to AutoComplete from the password list.

- Click the AutoComplete Password toolbar button, or press CTRL + C.

- or -
From the system tray menu:
- Right-click the Password Vault system tray icon. From the system tray menu, select the group
that the password belongs to, Email Accounts. From the group submenu that appears,
find the password to AutoComplete, Gmail.

- If the password has AutoComplete enabled and also has a URL associated with it, a submenu
will appear. Select AutoComplete Password. If there is no URL associated with the
password, there will be no submenu, so simply select the password, Gmail, in that case.

- You now have 2 seconds until Password Vault sends your password to the target window (remember
that you can change this interval). Switch focus to the Gmail web page and put the
cursor in the Username box. After the wait interval has passed, your password will be filled in and
submitted automatically.
